Lemonade stand idea for kids party

E is getting more and more interested in role play and we are lucky to have a very talented craftsman H around to make things for us all the time! This is the very first post I am writing about all the things H made for E's second birthday party. This lemonade stand added to the decorations while making it easy for the children to get something to drink and get involved in the party. After the party this is being used as a market stand for E.
When we first thought about making a lemonade stand we thought of making something very simple and then H got an idea of making a sort of cart and then things just added up and now we have a fabulous looking very colourful place to enjoy lemonade from.

It was a beautiful sunny day as the first day of spring was not too far. Every colour just sort of became brighter than it were and made us all smile and be happy on E's birthday. I wrote on a chalkboard H made, the drinks menu and if I had some more time I probably would have drawn some border on the chalk board as well. I also have to colour the wheel yellow and pink just ran out of time before the party to do that!

Green and White striped top on the stand makes it look very authentic as it it can just be used as a lemonade stand to sell some lemonade on the street!

This handle with a very neatly finished edge is my favourite bit with the scalloped edges it just looks very chic. I did use a pink colour there although I'm not a very big fan of pink, I guess it looks good with the whole colour scheme.

H being very new at woodworking has done a really commendable job if I say so myself xx
